Following conversations about some proposed Worlds updates at the USASF National Meeting and at the Board of Directors meeting in July, we’re providing you with the status and next steps.

IASF Cheer and Dance Divisions - Worlds Semi-Finals Performance Orders
All IASF division's Semi-Final rounds are competitions to determine the top 3 from each country. When preparing the performance orders for each IASF division Semi-Final round only, the USASF/IASF will draw and place all the teams from each country to perform back to back.
Example:
When USASF/IASF is ready to draw for the performance order in the IOSC-6 division's semi-final round:
Step 1. They will draw for the order of all countries represented in the division. The draw is Canada 1st, Columbia 2nd, England 3rd, Chile 4th, and Mexico 5th
Step 2. They will draw all teams from Canada 1st in the IOSC-6 division, Columbia's teams 2nd, England's teams 3rd, Chile teams 4th, and Mexico's last.
They will repeat steps 1 and 2 for the next division's drawing.
Non-Tumbling Bids to Worlds
The Board met to review the results of the Club Owners’ survey and the Event Producers request to withdraw the proposal made to the Board regarding Non-Tumbling paid bids. The Board decided to honor the request of the Event Producers based on further feedback gathered by and from the Event Producers as well as feedback from the Clubs. This decision will allow the Event Producers to continue making their own individual decision for their bid declaration as they have done in the past.
The results of the survey were fairly evenly split between those in favor and those against and included lots of feedback regarding Non-Tumbling divisions both at the Worlds level and the effect on other divisions as well. This feedback further confirmed the importance of the Board's decision in June to create a Non-Tumbling committee this season to help ensure a fair, consistent and thriving environment for Non-Tumbling and Tumbling divisions as all of our athletes are equally valued members of our organization.
We’re looking forward to Worlds 2023. Best of luck to all our members as we kick off another great season!
