The 3 Key Planning Phases of NASCDD

National All Star Cheer and Dance Day is just FOUR WEEKS AWAY on September 16, 2023. Let's celebrate All Star and grow the sport!

The inaugural NASCDD took place on September 12, 2015, and united clubs across the country in a celebration of All Star Cheer and Dance. USASF provides you with everything you need to ensure that you are on track to create a memorable event. If you have not yet started your planning now is the time! LOG IN and click Member Resources > Participate > NASCDD for a checklist for your event.

Event Day

The official NASCDD is 9/16/23 but can be implemented on a date that works best for you. Be sure your plan is well thought out, everything is set

up ahead of time, and all staff and volunteers are eager, excitable and know exactly what to do from the moment the first guest walks through the door until they say goodbye to the last guest at the conclusion of the event.

Post-Event

Your post-event strategy for follow-up with your guests is the most important aspect of a successful NASCDD! Things to start thinking about now include:

• When and how you contact guests to thank them for attending NASCDD and invite them back to your club.
• Do you have multiple options for new athletes to participate in your club at various commitment levels?
• Do you have a program starting within a few weeks of the conclusion of your NASCDD event that interested All Stars can join?

TIP!!! Starting a FUNdamentals class within a few weeks of your NASCDD event is a GREAT way to introduce new athletes to All Star! This is the perfect time to start a 12-week session that concludes with a showcase prior to the holidays.
