Collaboration Unifies Reporting!
USA Cheer and U.S. All Star Federation announced earlier this week the launch of a unified athlete safety reporting process, as well as a temporarily and permanently ineligible list, which will provide a robust athlete safety infrastructure readily available across the entire cheer community. This new unified resource, as well as additional athlete safety information, can be found at www.usasf.net under the Safe Sport menu.

It's Time for your Athletes to Apply for a Scholarship
Meet the USASF 2020 Dance College Scholarship Gold Winner, Madelynn Packer from Star Performance Centre. Madelynn attributes her mental, physical, and emotional strength to All Star, which helped her develop a positive attitude and taught her to push for progress instead of perfection.
She believes that All Star provides a safe environment for everyone, and because of this, she has grown as an athlete and a person. Madelynn is attending Purdue University where she plans to dual major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Spanish Language. Remember to encourage your High School Seniors AND EXCEPTIONAL ATHLETES to apply for the USASF College Scholarship this month. We wanted to clarify the eligibility requirements for Adult Athletes on open teams as mentioned in the previous newsletter. Background checks and adult athlete-specific Safe Sport Training are an eligibility requirement for adult athletes on OPEN teams. Adult athletes on OPEN teams are athletes born in the year 2001 or earlier (will be 19 or older by December 31, 2020). Be sure to have your athletes on OPEN teams born in 2001 or earlier check their eligibility by logging in to their Athlete Profile. Completing the eligibility process takes time.CHECK TODAY to avoid being ineligible and unable to compete at an event!
Cheer and Dance Rules for 2021-22
2021-22 was originally scheduled to be a rules cycle change year for cheer. However, due to COVID-19 we have decided to postpone the rules change cycle until the 2022-23 season. To find out more about the Rules and Age Grids for cheer and dance, click here.
New Version of the Coach App Available
A new version of the USASF Coach App was released earlier this week. Be sure to update your app so you have access to all the features!
Are you eligible to receive a bid?
All cheer teams competing for a bid to The Cheerleading Worlds™ 2021 are required to have a coach, or combination of coaches, with credentials in both building and tumbling up to the level of the team. This may be one coach with both skill sets or a combination of coaches who have both skill sets between them. Non-tumbling teams are required only to have a coach with building credentials up to the level of the team. The appropriately credentialed coach(es) must be on the roster and present in the warm-up room at the bid giving event.
The Worlds Cup Race is ON!
All Level 6 and 7 cheer teams entering one or more of the approved USASF Tier 3 Member Events will receive points based on the size of their division and placement rankings. At the end of the season teams with the highest point totals will win 3 Paid Bids and 3 At Large Bids to The Cheerleading Worlds, 2021. Click here to learn more.
