Having best practices in place allows the USASF to uphold the highest standards in athlete protection, compliance and safety. One such practice is the required JDP background checks for all adult participants.

This season we are introducing an enhanced feature to the background check process:  Verified Identification (vID) by JDP. With vID, we have taken significant steps to fortify the security of our athletes and members' data, ensuring accurate and fraud-protected identity verification. Using your phone's camera, vID scans your state-issued photo ID and captures a real-time selfie to verify that the member applicant matches the ID. This seamless process is both quick and convenient—all you need is a valid state-issued photo ID and your phone. Visit the vID Resource Center to learn more.
