Dear Coach, 

The start of the season is upon us, and you’re seeing your athletes get into the physical and mental shape that will guide them through the season ahead. They’ll soon be attending competitions and putting into practice everything they've learned so far. But before they can take the floor, be sure you've done your part. 

Our records show that you still need to renew your USASF membership for the season. The renewal fee is $75 and covers the required background check and abuse prevention training. Remember, you cannot be rostered and enter warm ups with your team at USASF sanctioned competitions without meeting these eligibility requirements.

While it's important to teach athletes skills, it's just as important for coaches to model USASF's commitment to safety and integrity that is at our core. We rely on you to help us create safe and nurturing environments with opportunities for young people to grow in positive and healthy ways.

Your athletes are working hard to prepare. Now it's your turn to give them your best.

...put athletes first. The USASF has criteria for our coaches and member clubs that meets or exceeds that of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. This helps our athletes have the safest environment possible to excel in All Star. USASF coach members must complete abuse prevention education and have a current background screening with green light result. 

...elevate your coaching skills and demonstrate your ability to coach teams safely. The USASF highly recommends that cheer coaches be credentialed in building and tumbling at least through the levels of the teams they coach. Credentialing is a requirement for cheer coaches participating in The Cheerleading Worlds. Dance coach credentialing demonstrates knowledge of the general dance rules to ensure the safety of athletes.

...have confidence in your competition routines when you use the USASF coach app to submit videos of skills for legality review. Last season, more than 49,500 videos were submitted and reviewed through the USASF coach app.
